Strategic buyer (IT)

Your tasks

• End-to-end procurement support for all IT categories (IT equipment and IT services) 
• Close collaboration with the Category Managers in line with the category strategy 
• Continuous communication with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and business requirements; stakeholder management 
• Supporting the preparation of category strategies: conducting up-to-date market research, cost analyses, benchmarks, and TCO calculations 
• Managing strategic procurement processes E2E
• Running RFx processes: requesting quotations, tendering, commercial evaluation of offers, leading commercial negotiations, contracting, and project follow-up
• Monitoring supplier performance
• Identifying and implementing cost‑optimization opportunities; providing TCO‑based decision support
• Participating in process improvement initiatives: supporting efficiency gains, automation, and standardization
• Preparing regular and ad hoc reports for Category Managers and management
• Creating analyses and business decision‑support materials (savings, performance, cost trends)

What we are looking for

• University degree in economics or engineering
• 3–5 years of experience in indirect strategic procurement; especially IT category experience is an advantage
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills, excellent communication abilities
• Solid stakeholder‑management skills, IT market awareness, and business‑oriented mindset
• Proficient English skills required for negotiations with international partners
• Proactive, solution‑focused attitude and adaptability to a changing market environment
• Confident use of Excel and SAP (Ariba knowledge is an advantage)
