Research and Expert Services Procurement Team Lead

We are looking for a strategic and dynamic Procurement Team Lead to manage sourcing activities in the field of research and expert services (including clinical, preclinical, CMC, and consultancy). Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for R&D (clinical, preclinical, CMC), consulting, and expert services.
• Identify and engage with specialized suppliers, institutions, and individual consultants.
• Align procurement activities with corporate goals and budget requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with research organizations, think tanks, universities, and service providers.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service levels to ensure maximum value.
• Optimize spending through cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality.
• Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive pricing.
• Ensure all procurement processes comply with corporate policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
• Define SLAs and KPIs to support effective supplier management.
• Lead and mentor a team of category managers and strategic buyers.
• Regularly assess supplier performance and manage feedback loops.
• Continuously improve procurement processes to increase operational efficiency.
• Stay up to date on industry trends and adopt innovative procurement practices.

Your profile

• University degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, operations management, supply chain, or finance).
• Fluent English skills, both written and spoken.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership role, preferably in operational procurement or material management.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills.
