Regional Commercial Controller

Main responsibilities

  • Planning and Forecasting - Support budgeting, planning and forecasting processes for financial and relevant KPIs across the assigned portfolio of countries. Collect, consolidate and validate market submissions and manage consistency checks.  Prepare standard templates, analyses and documentation to support planning cycles.
  • Performance Analysis and Reporting - Support tracking of commercial performance versus plan, forecast and prior year at country, cluster and market level. Prepare variance analyses and standard performance commentaries. Ensure timely and accurate reporting in line with Group Controlling requirements
  • Business Partnering Support - Support the Regional Commercial Controlling Manager and senior Business Partners in interactions with market Finance teams. Act as a key point of contact for routine questions related to reporting, planning templates and submission timelines
  • Affiliate Coordination and Alignment - Coordinate data flows and inputs from local Finance teams.  Support adherence to Group Controlling standards, guidelines and deadlines. Escalate data quality issues or inconsistencies as needed
  • Sales & Marketing Cost and GTN Analysis - Support analysis of Gross-to-Net, G&A and Sales & Marketing costs across the assigned portfolio. Prepare standard reports, trend analyses and cost overviews to support senior reviews.
  • Efficiency and Ad Hoc Analysis - Contribute to efficiency improvement initiatives through data preparation, basic scenario analysis and benchmarking. Support ad-hoc analyses and management requests as required.
  • Systems and Reporting Tools - Contribute to the implementation and adoption of new technologies, tools and reporting solutions that improve automation, insight generation and process efficiency.
  • Process and Reporting Development - Support continuous improvement of planning and reporting processes through documentation, testing and implementation support
  • Management Reporting Support - Prepare data, charts and analyses for management presentations and internal reviews

Qualifications and language skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business or a related field is required.
  • A Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Hungarian are required.

Professional Experience


•    6–8 years of professional experience in Commercial Finance, Controlling, FP&A or related finance roles
•    Experience in an international or multinational environment is an advantage
•    Initial exposure to sales, marketing or commercial finance topics is preferred
•    Experience working with financial systems, reporting or planning tools is required

Required Capabilities & Skills


•    Solid analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail
•    Good understanding of financial reporting, planning and basic controlling principles
•    Ability to structure data and translate numbers into clear analyses
•    Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting / planning systems
•    Strong learning attitude and willingness to develop business partnering skills
•    Clear and professional communication skills
•    Ability to work effectively in a team and in a matrix organization
•    High level of accuracy, reliability and accountability
