Global Medical Lead WHC

to join the Global Medical Division in the Budapest HQ.

 

Position summary

The Global Medical Lead for Women's Health Care is the leading strategic expert and advisor to the CMO and the company in the field of WHC strategy and innovation. He/She is the main representative and developer of the long-term medical and scientific strategy of the Women's Health Pillar and key contributor to the overarching WHC strategy of the company. Successful fulfillment of this role will generally require comprehensive, holistic view of the therapeutic area (TA), strategic medical-scientific know-how and knowledge/experience in pharmaceutical drug development. 

Main responsibilities

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining the TA medical know-how through relevant congress participations and scientific dialogue with external stakedolders, including but not limited to external medical professionals/experts, academic medical institutions, disease and patient societies and healthcare professional organizations
  • Collaborate with RichterHQ WHC Medical and Commercial departments, business development, market access, regulatory functions and Richter regional operations and subsidiaries as well
  • Contribute to the maintenance of global WHC oversight and to the development and funtion of regional medical operations (global to local support)
  • Establish and develop WHC medical strategy through portfolio/pipeline approach (female lifecícle) by understanding the medical unmet needs and niche opportunities in the TA
  • Develop, coordinate and maintain the WHC EU KOL mapping process and related strategic KOL engagement plan in order to match with global WHC pillar strategy 
  • Strategic partner and TA leadership in global product launches (in close collaboration with the functional/operational heads who are responsible for the operational execution)
  • Contribute to the preparation of pre-launch medical plans, drive alignment with TA medical strategy
  • Drive and lead TA strategic and scientific advisory board meetings
  • Establish and lead strategic publication plan for WHC (especially for TA and innovative areas in close collaboration with the WHC medical team)
  • Drive and develop regular WHC TA prognoses and analyses from the perspectives of potential new molecular targets, new emerging subfields, new beyond-the-drug solutions, niche therapeutic potentials, new unmet medical needs, acquisition opportunities, innovative non-traditional ideas (e.g. digital technology, integrated care), HCP and health care changes, guidelines and related scientific organization recommendations
  • Collaborate regularly to R&D funtions internally and externally in order to support the above point

Required skills and knowledge

  • Medical degree preferably with board certification in obstetrics/gynecology, or deep TA experience and pharma drug development/medical affairs knowledge
  • Track record of scientific experience and knowledge (e.g. PhD degree or previous publications and/or research in the area)
  • Track record of pharmaceutical business experience (ideally MBA or similar degree)
  • Senior professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in the field of gínecology (WHC) portfolio/pipeline and product lifecycle-management
  • Experience in designing clinical development plans, clinical trials and interpreting clinical trial data (phase 1-4)
  • Knowledge of current gynecology treatment landscapes, abilities to make future predictions in the TA (new targets, solutions, patient flows, competition etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with both internal stakeholders (matrix structure) and external partners (e.g. Academic partners, external advisors, KOLs, business and scientific partner organizations)
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with different teams in a cross-functional manner from the basis of Medical/Science expertise
