Global Medical Expert (WHC)

Role summary

The Global Medical Expert contributes to the development of the medical strategy for innovative/original WHC products. He/she leads the consolidation of medical input to brand strategies and provides comprehensive medical guidance to support the life cycle management of WHC products. He/she is responsible for establishing and maintaining medical and scientific dialogue with relevant internal & external stakeholders, including but not limited to international key thought leaders, therapeutic area (TA) experts, academic and medical institutions, disease and patient societies, and other relevant organizations.
 
Key stakeholders: Internally the Global Medical Expert collaborates with HQ marketing, sales, and business development and provides clinical/medical information to regional medical colleagues and Gedeon Richter’s affiliates (medical) worldwide. Externally, partnership with key opinion leaders globally, relevant scientific associations, and patient organizations.  

 

Your tasks

  • Independent execution of product/portfolio management tasks (incl. organization of conferences / product-specific events, compilation of medical and digital website materials, preparation / finalization of publications / posters)
  • Execute WHC medical strategy through a portfolio approach and product lifecycle management
  • Execute the pre-launch medical plans, drive alignment with TA medical strategy
  • Preparation and approval of information material for promotional activities (product monograph, slide kit, internet campaigns, information on websites, propose publications in medical journals) 
  • Provide medical input to scientific events (symposium, conference, workshop) and prepare the related activities; participate in international congresses
  • Independent KOL management, widening collaboration to Professional Societies and investigators
  • Establishing strong professional relationships and providing credible scientific expertise. Identify areas of shared scientific interest and advance partnerships.
  • Prepare training materials and provide training to local medical advisors to improve their knowledge of the product
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in medical advisory boards, scientific and disease awareness events
  • Where applicable, provide medical input into the development and execution of clinical research-related activities
  • Ensure compliance in all scientific activities with all applicable regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, standards, policies, and procedures
  • Collaborate with Richter HQ WHC Medical and Commercial departments, business development, market access, regulatory functions, and Richter regional operations and subsidiaries
  • Comprehensive, deep medical knowledge of the product and the given therapeutic area: up-to-date follow-up of official guidelines, opinions, reports, research results
  • Maintaining relations with Affiliates’ medical teams: support best practice sharing sessions, bilateral communication on the product, medical strategy execution

We are looking for these in your CV

  • Medical degree preferably with board certification in obstetrics/gynecology, or deep TA experience with pharma drug development/medical affairs knowledge
  • Senior professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in the field of gynecology (WHC) portfolio and product lifecyle-management
  • Experience in designing clinical development plans, clinical trials, and interpreting clinical trial data (phase 1-4)
  • Knowledge of current gynecology treatment landscapes
  • Fluency in English is a must
