Global HR Lead Controller
General Scope
- The Global HR Lead Controller is a newly established position and will have direct responsibility for planning, budgeting, reporting, analysis and controlling of Gedeon Richter Group (GR) employee related costs, headcount (11,000+ FTEs and cca 220 billion HUF) and HR functional costs globally.
- The position holder will be expected to significantly elevate HR Controlling processes with a view to support upcoming global initiatives and further strengthen business partnering relations with Group HR Compensation and local affiliate HR teams.
- As part of Group Controlling, the position will report to the Global Business Services Controlling Manager and will be the main Controlling (Finance) business partner to the Group HR (mainly Compensation Team).
- The position will have a coordinator role for 3 dotted line reports at GR Headquarters, these being:
- 2 HR Controllers covering all Hungary-based employees
- 1 International HR Controller covering GR foreign affiliates
Feladatok
- Performance management – Own and lead all HR controlling processes (mid- and long-term planning, budgeting, reporting, forecasting, analysis) for FTEs, employee related costs and HR functional costs globally. Support Heads of Functions with information on their salary budgets, sensitivity analysis and inputs for promotional increases and recruitment decisions
- Steering, Guiding and Control of Affiliates – Guide affiliate/country Controlling and Finance personnel across the Group on HR Controlling matters (inflationary and merit increases, etc). Control and challenge affiliates’ financial processes (e.g. accruals), budgeting and reporting with regards to headcounts, employee related costs and HR functional costs
- Standardization across GR Group – Develop and own the relevant sections of Group Functional Cost Controlling Manual and drive HR Controlling standardization agenda across GR Group. Ensure that Group IFRS Chart of Accounts is properly set up to reflect relevant expense categories and is globally adhered to in financial reporting.
- Systems – Establish and operate controlling system solutions for headcount and employee related costs budgeting and reporting that result in a high level of automation and simplification
- SAP S4 Implementation – Support concept design and implementation of headcount, employee related costs reporting and control in SAP S4 environment
- New Planning & Reporting Software and Architecture Implementation – Contribute to the concept design and implementation of a new Planning and Reporting software (for FTE and all employee related cost budgeting and controlling)
- Transversal Cost Reporting – Establish process to budget, optimize and control HR functional costs globally, such as recruitment, learning and development, etc
- Support to Group Initiatives – Provide support to Group strategic initiatives (e.g. Spectra, etc.) with data, analytics and financial insights
- Drive Efficiencies – Drive HR Functional costs and headcount efficiencies at Group level and disseminate best practices
- Business partnering – Partner with Group HR Director, Group HR Compensation Head and other key stakeholders to achieve business objectives and influence strategic or operational decisions. Develop and/or contribute to business cases for business expansions, restructurings, etc. Support stakeholders with ad hoc analysis
- Management Reporting – Prepare Committee materials, presentations and other analyses for Executive ManagementLeadership – Coordinate Global HR Controlling team to success
- M&A Activities – Support M&A activities and integration of new acquisitions on an as required basis
- Group Controlling Transformation Agenda – As part of the wider Group Controlling Leadership Team, actively support and contribute to GR global Controlling transformation and upgrade
Other Requirements
- The position holder is expected to work independently with minimal supervision and guide foreign (remote) HR and or Finance teams. This is a role dealing with highly confidential data and sensitive information.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 12 years of progressive professional experience gained in HR Controlling, Budgeting, Management Reporting or Financial Controlling roles at large and complex multinational companies (e.g. FMCG, chemicals, pharma, etc.) of which minimum 5 years with managerial responsibilities
- Hands-on experience in calculating employment costs, salary packages and benefits for a group of affiliates/markets with a high employee base is required
Main Contacts
- The position holder is the Finance Business Partner to the Group Head of Compensations and GR Heads of Global Functions on salary budget matters and has regular interactions with members of Group Controlling, Group Accounting as well as with affiliate CMs, HR teams and Finance personnel.
Qualifications & Language Skills
- Masters degree in Economics or Business from a reputable university is required. Further qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA or CPA would be a plus
- Fluent written and spoken English and Hungarian is a must
