Global Costing Controller
Your tasks and responsibilities
- Standard Costing: Support the Global Costing Manager in establishing and operating standard costing and cost accounting practices for finished goods, API and CDMO that assess SKU level product costs from a legal entity and management accounting perspective
- Performance management: Perform periodic controlling processes (mid- and long-term planning, budgeting, closing, accrual preparation, reporting, forecasting, analysis) for standard product costs and deviations (COGS)
- Affiliate Steering, Guiding and Control: Guide operations sites’ Costing and Finance personnel across the Group. Deliver regular training to foreign operations sites’ Finance personnel. Control and challenge production sites costing processes and outputs
- Standardization across GR Group: Support the Global Costing Manager in developing Group Costing Manual and in driving standardization of product costing across GR Group
- Systems: Contribute to the design and implementation of controlling system solutions for global costing and reporting (to bridge the interim period until SAP implementation) that result in a high level of automation and simplification
- SAP S4 Implementation: Support concept design and implementation of standard costing and management reporting of COGS in SAP S4 environment and reporting thereof
- New Planning and Reporting Software and Architecture Implementation – Contribute to the concept design and implementation of a new Planning and (management)Reporting software for all dimensions of product costs
- Drive Efficiencies: Drive product cost efficiencies at Group level by identifying optimization levers and disseminate best practices to local sites
- Management Reporting: Prepare or contribute to the preparation of Operations Committee materials for Executive Management and any other analysis as require
- Benchmarking: Periodically conduct internal and external benchmarking and propose action plans based on benchmarking outcomes
- M&A Activities: Support M&A activities and integration of new acquisitions on an as required basis
What we look in your CV
- Minimum 10 years of progressive professional experience gained in product & standard costing in Manufacturing, Factory or Operations Financial Controlling or Finance controlling or financial analyst roles at large and complex multinational companies (e.g. FMCG, chemicals, pharma, etc.)
- Conceptual knowledge and hands-on experience in standard costing and product costing
- Practical knowledge of performing product costing and calculating COGS as per management accounting in an SAP environment is required
- HQ and/or multi-site and multi-country experience is a plus
- Experience in implementing product costing in SAP environment would be a huge plus
