Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic direction and performance of the assigned innovation portfolio across the North-Eastern European cluster.
- Translate global Business Unit and brand priorities into clear cluster and country-level strategies and execution plans.
- Drive portfolio growth, market share and return on marketing investment, while optimizing cluster-level marketing resources.
- Act as a strategic partner to Global Brand, Marketing and Market Access teams, bringing strong local market, customer, clinical and access insights into global decision-making.
- Contribute to global brand strategy, indication and patient population prioritization, evidence generation, lifecycle management and launch strategy.
- Lead launch excellence across the cluster, coordinating country readiness, pre-launch activities and localization of global launch strategies.
- Ensure strong cross-functional orchestration between Marketing, Medical Affairs and Market Access throughout pre-launch, launch and post-launch phases.
- Lead the pillar brand-planning cycle and regularly review portfolio and launch performance with relevant global, cluster and country stakeholders.
- Shape market access and HTA readiness in partnership with Market Access/Commercial Excellence, including value strategy, payer engagement and pricing objectives within the global framework.
- Ensure clinical, real-world and health-economic evidence is effectively incorporated into portfolio and value strategies.
- Provide functional leadership and strategic direction to Brand Managers across cluster countries.
- Develop marketing capabilities across the organization, particularly in innovation launches, evidence-based marketing and stakeholder ecosystem management.
- Build strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders as well as KOLs, scientific societies, patient organizations, payers and other relevant external partners.
- Provide the Cluster Head and Global BU Marketing leadership with portfolio performance updates, strategic risks and resource recommendations.
- Foster a culture of strategic boldness, curiosity, cross-functional collaboration, accountability and executional excellence.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable regulations, internal policies, scientific exchange standards and pharmaceutical promotional codes.
Requirements
- University degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Health Economics, Business or another relevant field; MBA, MPH, MSc or PhD is an advantage.
- 10+ years of relevant pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry experience, with strong exposure to strategic marketing, portfolio management and brand leadership.
- Strong experience with innovative medicines and/or specialty pharmaceutical portfolios.
- Proven track record in product launches and lifecycle management, ideally across multiple countries or within a regional/cluster structure.
- Strong understanding of the interaction between Marketing, Medical Affairs and Market Access in the commercialization of innovative medicines.
- Solid knowledge of market access, HTA, pricing, value communication and evidence requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to translate global strategy into locally relevant, commercially effective execution.
- Strong strategic and commercial mindset combined with the ability to drive execution and measurable portfolio performance.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a complex global matrix environment.
- Experience in leading, coaching and developing marketing professionals, either through direct or functional leadership.
- Strong financial and business acumen, including portfolio prioritization, resource allocation and ROI-based decision-making.
- Ability to navigate uncertainty, challenge existing approaches and shape strategies through strong market insights.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills.
- Fluent English; strong knowledge of the cluster lead country's language is preferred.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
